Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and who can see it. In short: we collect what the platform needs to work, your church can see your learning progress, and we never sell your information or show ads.
Effective September 25, 2026
Who we are
FaithFinance (“we,” “us”) is a free biblical financial literacy platform operated by FaithFinance.app and provided to churches and their members at no cost. This policy covers faithfinance.app and the FaithFinance web application.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number if provided, the invite code you used, and optional profile details such as age group, marital status, household size, and financial goals.
- Church details: when a church registers, the church name and administrator contact information.
- Financial tool entries: budgets, expenses, debts, savings goals, and net worth snapshots you choose to enter.
Information created as you use the platform
- Learning records: course enrollments, lesson progress, quiz answers and scores, baby step progress, and certificates.
- Usage events: pages viewed, sign-ins, and key actions (for example, enrolling in a course or adding a savings goal), recorded with the date, your account and church, and the page route. We use these to understand which parts of the platform help people most.
- Technical data: your IP address is used to protect sign-in and registration against abuse (rate limiting). Your browser stores a sign-in token and cached app files so the app loads quickly and keeps you signed in.
How we use information
- To operate the platform: sign you in, save your progress, and run the financial tools.
- To connect you with your church so leaders can teach and encourage you.
- To send account and course emails, such as welcome messages, quiz results, certificates, and account security notices.
- To improve the curriculum and the platform using usage events and aggregated results.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent misuse.
Who can see your information
- Your church: administrators and instructors at your church can see your profile, enrollments, progress, quiz results, and certificates.
- Other churches: cannot see your information. Each church’s data is kept separate.
- Platform administrators: a small number of FaithFinance administrators can access data to operate, support, and secure the platform.
- Service providers: companies that host our servers or deliver email process data only on our behalf.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of any person.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Financial information
FaithFinance never asks for bank account numbers, card numbers, or login credentials for financial institutions, and does not connect to your bank. Amounts you enter in the financial tools are stored with your account so you can track progress. Enter only what you are comfortable storing.
Children
Some courses are designed for kids and teens. Children should use FaithFinance only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, typically through their church’s program. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and your choices
We keep your information while your account is active. You can update your profile at any time. To request a copy of your information or deletion of your account, email info@faithfinance.app from the address on your account, or ask your church administrator. Some records may be kept for a limited time where needed for security or legal reasons.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hash passwords, limit repeated sign-in attempts, and separate each church’s data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
